Usually at Fastuna we run quick customer surveys to get insights about product concepts and ideas. We test product attributes like design, name and claims. We particularly love to get consumer feedback on video ads. But not this time.
This time we came up with a list of 15 life-changing futuristic technologies and asked people in the UK and Australia to render a verdict. Brits and Aussies told us:

Top 3 technologies beneficial for humanity,
according to the Brits.

Energy and Impossibility of war ranked the same, so we kept them both as part of our "top-3 rating"
Cure of all disease with no more pain or suffering would be a great thing for humanity at a point where a lot of people in the world are dying of preventable disease to debilitating cancers and chronic illnesses. Preventing serious crime would also help humanity because the world would be a much better place if we stopped hurting our fellow humans.
— Female, 36
Prevention of crime means no victims, free energy and food means people can thrive.
— Male, 54

Top 3 technologies beneficial for humanity,
according to the Aussies.

I choose these three because instead of the world being a greedy, unfair and war ridden works everyone would be able to live equally, fairly and peacefully.
— Male, 22
An endless supply of food for everyone. No one will go hungry. Reliable energy so we can keep warm in winter and cool in summer. No more crime. We can live our lives happily without having to worry that someone will rob us or kill us. A very happy world it would be.
— Female, 63

Top 3 technologies harmful for humanity,
according to the Brits.

Immortality just doesn't make sense - the world would be become overpopulated, Disease/illness go hand in hand with our mortality so you can't rule that out.
Synthesised food - yuck.
— Female, 56
These ones are not just harmful but unsustainable. Some of the other things from the list can actually be done without any miracles.
— Male, 30

Top 3 technologies harmful for humanity,
according to the Aussies.

Personally hearing too much about AI lately. I don't want to live in a "black mirror" episode. Immortality is a fun concept, but how overpopulated would the planet be then? Sounds like
a recipe for disaster.
— Male, 38
Humans are supposed to have emotions and make mistakes so they can learn from them. People wouldn’t experience life in a genuine way if everything was perfect.
— Female, 32

We don't want to live in a Black Mirror episode either.
