  • Question:
    Can we test drafts?
    Answer:
Yes, you can test anything from draft concepts through to final content. The important thing to consider is that visuals and videos being tested are clear (not blurred) and that text can be readable by respondents evaluating the idea.
  • Question:
How do you collect the data?
    Answer:
Individuals who complete our surveys participate in various online panels. Online panels contain hundreds of thousands of real consumers who are willing to participate in online research on a regular basis. We manage this process with highly reputable panel aggregators, Cint and Lucid, who are well known in the market research industry.

We send our surveys to panelists who fit the selection criterias required for your test. Respondents answer our simple questionnaires online using a PC or mobile when it is most convenient for them. And when we get their opinions they go straight into your reports. That's why it so fast.
  • Question:
Who are your online panel partners?
    Answer:
We collaborate with Cint and Lucid, both highly reputable panel aggregators, who work with trusted sample partners (known as panel providers) offering quality respondents and a worldwide reach. Both Cint and Lucid coordinate the process of obtaining and aggregating respondents from the different panel providers.

Founded in 1998 Cint are one of the largest panel aggregators in Europe and worldwide that hosts 40 million registered consumers worldwide. Lucid, founded in 2010, run surveys with consumers in 80 countries and cooperate with over 200 panel providers globally.
  • Question:
What quality control processes do you have in place?
    Answer:
Data robustness is essential to the success of Fastuna and the integrity of the results generated. To guarantee this we partner only with reputable consumer panel providers who have the necessary quality control procedures in place along with many other industry standards including ISO, ESOMAR etc.
  • Question:
Do people answering the survey get paid?
    Answer:
Yes, respondents are incentivised. They can receive money, vouchers, loyalty points or make charity contributions. The value of the incentives is nominal but symbolic as a goodwill gesture to reflect respondents' time investment. Incentives are not respondents' main source of income.
  • Question:
Is my data secure and private?
    Answer:
Yes, your data is secure and private and is not shared with anyone. Only you can view the results of your tests. Participating panel providers ensure that all respondents have a signed a Confidentiality Agreement before participating in our surveys. We can also sign a confidentiality agreement with you to ensure greater security.
  • Question:
    Is the sample used representative?
    Answer:
Yes. The sample used is representative of market where the test will take place. Therefore the samples we use reflect the overall characteristics of the selected market in terms of gender, age and, in many cases, regions.
  • Question:
Does each respondent evaluate multiple ideas?
    Answer:
For most of our solutions we do not use this approach as it does not reflect real-life conditions. Consumers do not see multiple versions of adverts for the same product or service. Instead for most of our solutions respondents evaluate one idea only (monadic testing). We apply the optimal testing approach for each specific marketing solution and provide benchmarks (currently based on expert norms) for a range of metrics that we evaluate.

Currently the Rank It and DIY solutions are based on consumers making direct comparisons. Rank It is a cost effective approach to quickly capture topline consumer preferences on images or short texts ideas. Respondents evaluate all ideas you uploaded onto our portal and are asked for their preferences. Benchmarking is not available with this solution though.
  • Question:
How can we test multiple ideas at one time?
    Answer:
It's easy. To test multiple ideas you just need to upload all of them onto our portal. We'll then do the hard bit. Except for the Rank It and DIY solutions we'll send each idea to different respondents. Each respondent will receive only one idea to evaluate. We would ensure that each idea is evaluated by same number of people with a similar socio-demographic profile to ensure that a like-for-like comparison can be made.
  • Question:
Can we use our own questionnaires instead?
    Answer:
Yes. Our DIY solution enables you use your own questionnaires to ask consumers up to 10 questions of your choice. With this solution consumers evaluate ideas based on direct comparisons.
  • Question:
    How much does it cost?
    Answer:
Each solution has a range of fixed prices depending on the number of ideas to be tested and the number of responses per idea you wish to receive.
  • Question:
What are the differences between each option?
    Answer:
The recommended use cases for each testing option varies depending on the context.

Basic (50 responses per item tested)
We recommend this option in situations where you have several drafts and wish to identify the best two or three to develop further. Use Basic to filter out ideas that do not resonate with consumers.

Standard (100 responses per item tested)
Our most frequently used option. We recommend using Standard when you wish to select the best idea and obtain deeper insights into how consumers perceive teach idea.

Pro (200 responses per item tested)
We recommend this option when the small details matter for the fine-tuning of your idea. Pro is also recommended for testing niche products, services and events.
  • Question:
    Can you customise tests?
    Answer:
Yes, of course. We are agile and are willing to customise tests according to your requirements so long as sufficient volumes can be generated based upon what you wish to customise.

    Typical customisation options are:
    — Testing in a user-specific region (such as a sales or commuter region).
    — Testing on a user-specific target group (such as pet owners).
